Maybe an unpopular opinion; I find TB's take on D. Jones prescribey and self-righteous and therefore offputting.
He admits, "I don't know how everything went down," and includes, "Everyone makes individual choices... we all face different challenges..." Excellent. All true. Everyone's got their own shit. But he goes on to say, "What mattered most to me were my teammates; I showed up every day; I didn't care what they asked me to do; I did whatever I could to help the team win." Well, (scoff laugh) okay. You're freaking Tom Brady. And despite that, at least once, even you weren't showing up for your team in the off season (pre season?) for an extended period of time with no explanation.
The self-aware statements I find beneficial. The rest (and he does it regularly) sounds judgmental.
Bob’s pretty Twitter-confident for somebody who had Carson Wentz ahead of Patrick Mahomes on his QBs Under 30 list *after* Mahomes had won his first Super Bowl.
